Mother’s day is celebrated in May every year in India. Mother’s day is celebrated to acknowledge the presence of all mother’s around the earth. It is celebrated across more than 40 countries in the world. Thus it is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world.
The present-day celebration of mother’s day began in the year 1908 when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother Ann Jarvis at St Andrew’s Methodist Chruch in Grafton, West Virginia. But she started it to make it a recognized holiday in 1905 in the United States the year in which her mother died.
Ann Jarvis has been a peace activist who cared for wounded solider’s on both sides of the American civil war. Anna Jarvis wanted to honor all the mothers of the world who have done a lot for society and their families.
This day is celebrated among most countries like Australia, New Zealand, India, China, Canada, South Africa, The USA, and European Countries. Although the contribution of mothers in our lives cannot be paid back by just celebrating by a day thus we have to acknowledge and at least make them feel special for one day by celebrating mother’s day.
It’s a day which makes people remember the importance and significance of mother’s in their life. This is the day when we realize the care love, hard work of our mothers and understand her importance in our life.
Without a mother, we cannot imagine a simple life she is the one who makes our life so easy. A mother is who, who never wants anything back from their children. She always wants to make her children a good and responsible human being.
It is seen that whenever a child is in some trouble the first family person he or she reminded is none other than the mother. It is the mother with whom you want to share the best news of your life primarily.
Whether it’s a son or a daughter, a mother loves her every child equally. Thus it is our responsibility to say a big thank you to mother for all the sacrifices she made so that we lead a better life. From the day you are born to the day you die.
It is your mother who stands by you in every up and down of your life. Without the presence of Mother, our existence would not have been possible. We must always love her not only on this day but all our life whenever she needed us.
Thus everyone has their way to celebrate Mother’s day. Some people give cards, gifts, flowers to their mother while some prefer to spend the whole day with their mother.
